Between June 29 and June 30, a delegation of the Romanian Naval Academy "Mircea cel Batran" formed by Capt. Sergiu LUPU, Deputy Commander (Vice-Rector) for Continous Development and Lt.jg. Laura ZBURLEA, Staff Officer in the International Programmes and Projects Office, participated in the International Conference on Advanced Research and Defense Technologies (ARTDEF), organized at the Naval Academy of Bulgaria "Nikola Vaptsarov". The conference is an annual event organized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense in collaboration with the Bulgarian Defense Institute "Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov", National Defense College "Georgi S. Rakovski", Military Medical Academy, Bulgarian Naval Academy "Nikola Vaptsarov", National Military University "Vasil Levski" and Air Force Academy "Georgi Benkovscki".

The main objective of the conference was the efficient use of scientific projects to build and maintain the defense capabilities needed by the Bulgarian Armed Forces. In addition, during the seminar were discussed aspects of optimizing defense capabilities and resources, as well as elements for strengthening interaction and cooperation with civilian scientific organizations and institutes.
