Between June 2 and 6, a delegation of the Romanian Naval Academy "Mircea cel Batran", led by the Commander (Rector) of RNA, Capt. Alecu TOMA, and the Deputz for International Relations (Vice-rector), Col. Catalin POPA and the Head of the International Programs and Projects Office, Lt.cdor. Marius CUCU had a working and information visit to the University of Ruse. They have discussed with the Rector of the University of Ruse, Prof. Hristo Beloev, who is also Doctor Honoris Causa of the Naval Academy, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Prof. Desislava Atanasova and Professor Nikolay Mihaylov.

Opportunities to deepen cooperation between the two universities were discussed and a partnership was signed to develop cooperation in priority areas such as education, research, innovation and training.

In the field of education, the document addresses issues such as increasing the use of information technology and digital resources in learning and research, modernizing educational platforms and other means and technologies of learning, assessment and control, creating common courses in English, sharing educational resources and informational.

In the field of science, research and innovation, the signed agreement provides issues for research and innovation at national and international level, participation in regional and cross-border cooperation projects and programs and community projects, organization of national and international scientific conferences, joint training of PhD students and supporting the career development of young scientists.
