Starting the SeaSAFERS project - Simulation of Sea Accidents for Effective Responses


Starting on April 2021, the implementation of "SeaSAFERS - Simulation of Sea Accidents For Effective Responses" international project has been initiated, financed under the Erasmus+ program, KA226. The project is led by the Lithuanian Maritime Academy (Lithuania), having as partners beside Maritime Innovators (Turkey), IDEC S.A. (Greece), Academia Navala "Mircea cel B?trān" (Romania), Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy (Bulgaria) and Enidh Escola Superior Nautica (Portugal). The project will be implemented alongside 24 months aiming as main objective the enhancement of maritime safety culture by building specific instruments for education, training and evaluation, valued by a knowledge exchange and good practices transfer platform. In this respect, during the 14th-15th of April the 1st transnational meeting has been organized by the leading partner, the Lithuanian Maritime Academy, having as main objective the dissemination of technical and operational aspects of project implementation among the partners.
