Sd.plt. Alexandru JURAVLE, 4th year of the Faculty of Marine Engineering - military section, participated, between September 30 and October 5, in the leadership training module with international participation "Principles and techniques of communication in the Naval Forces", organized by the Naval Academy of Italy in Livorno. Along with the students of the host country, the activities organized by the Italian partners were attended by cadets from the naval academies from Portugal, Poland, Netherlands, Norway, Belgium and Latvia. The leadership module is part of the offer of Italian partners launched within the "International Naval Semester" initiative, promoted under the auspices of the "European Security and Defense College". The training sessions focused on topics from military leadership, on the particularities of communication within the team, strategic leadership or international representation, the course ending with a project developed and presented in teams, evaluated in the graduation phase by the course holders. The course was valuable both from the perspective of skills and abilities of students participating in a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment, as well as from the perspective of the exchange of good practices in the elaboration and harmonization of the thematic of the military leadership course promoted in the European naval academies in the joint effort of aligning the curricular content to the new European and global realities.
