Stop in Constanta Harbour

Between August 20 and 22, the training ships "CIGIRIN", "SMILA" and "NOVA KAKHOVKA", belonging to the Naval Forces of Ukraine, made an information visit, planned during a stopover in the Constanta port, related to the training voyage of military cadets. In addition to the crew members, on board the three ships are embarked 79 cadets who were training in the military educational institutions belonging to the Naval Forces of Ukraine. Starting with 2004, the training ships from Ukraine come to Romania every year and their visit has already become a tradition.
The program of the crews of the three ships included visits to the Naval Academy "Mircea cel Batran", the National Museum of the Romanian Navy and to various historical and tourist objectives in Constanta. During the meetings between the representatives of the management of the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy and the representatives of the Naval Academy of Ukraine, discussions took place regarding the training and formation practices of military cadets, being identified and disseminated concrete areas of cooperation between partner naval military institutions, respectively the strategies of developing joint activities within the DEEP-NATO program (Defense Education Enhancement Program).
