A new series of American students was at the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy between June 27 and July 1 within the 9th edition of the Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency (CULP) program. The cadets from Fort Knox in Kentucky / USA carried out joint training activities with military students and teachers from ANMB. The CULP program is based on a Romanian-American bilateral partnership and involves the exchange of experience and information between Romanian and American military students regarding the customs, traditions, social life and values of the education systems in the two states.
          During this period, the American cadets together with the first and third year students of the Naval Academy carried out training activities at the Center for Marine Training and Water Sports in Palazu Mare, participated in joint training sessions on the integrated navigation simulator and performed a complex tactical training session. The American students visited the historical and tourist objectives in the region, getting involved in cultural and social activities with the students of the Naval Academy.
