During 03rd -04th of May, the Rector of the Naval Academy "Mircea cel Batran", Captain (N) Dr. Octavian Tarabuta and Lieutenant Commander Dr. Alexandru Cotorcea had attended the "Sustainable Development in the Danube Region" conference in Ruse, Bulgaria. The European international conference has been focused on sustainable development alongside the Danube region, the host of the event being the Rector of "Angel Kanchev" University of Ruse, professor Hristo Beloev. In the first part of the conference, the rector of the Naval Academy "Mircea cel Batran" delivered the lecture entitled "The Role of the Higher Education Institutions for the Danube Region Development". The conference on “Sustainable Development of the Danube Region” was honored by the presence of the Presidents of Austria, Bulgaria and Romania, representing a good opportunity for promoting the Romanian military education and for increasing the visibility of the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy.
