Between July 2 and July 20, the 5th edition of the Cultural Understanding and Language Proficiency Program (CULP 2018), the US military cadets enrolled in the ROTC program, took place at the Naval Academy "Mircea cel Batran". During the training period, joint activities with the first and third cadets of the Naval Academy took place, which consisted of training sessions on different themes, practical training modules, training sessions, sports and socio-cultural activities. In addition to the interactive debating hours, ROTC students carried out training activities specific to marine training at the Palazu Mare Training Station, participated in joint training sessions on the integrated navigation simulator and conducted a complex tactical training session with the students year 1. The American students visited the historical and tourist objectives of the region, engaging in cultural and social activities with Navale Academy students, a good opportunity for collegial exchange of ideas and for intercultural interaction.
