According to the reports Romanian Agency of Quality Assurance in Higher Education Board's report from 29th of January 2015, regarding external evaluation of academic quality, "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy received the "High Level of Trust" qualification, being the only institution in its category with the upper-most degree given for the quality of higher education. Also, study programs like Electro-mechanics (PT), Naval Electro-mechanics (FT) and Maritime and River navigation and transportation (FT) received the "Trust" qualification.

The purpose of the evaluation is to identify and certify how the Naval Academy uses the guidelines of Bologna Process, along with providing educational programs and professional training at a bachelor and master level according with the European Scientific Research Program. The evaluation also aimes to highlight how the naval academy manages to upgrade the quality of teaching-learning process and to maintain the legal perspectives for study certificates and diplomas stated in the European regulations, mainly the Dictate no. 26 from 2005, regarding certified professions by the European Union. The "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy maintains to a high level the quality conditions and the reference standards of the academic field for a continuous upgrade of the quality of the projects we are involved in.
