Training on the Proteus tactical simulator
In April 2025, the Romanian Naval Academy "Mircea cel Bătrân" organizes tactical training on the Proteus simulator, carried out by military cadets in cooperation with military students invited from partner universities. This training ensures the training of cadets in an international and multicultural environment, by participating in complex exercises developed on the tactical simulator, aiming to align the naval training process with international standards and familiarize them with NATO procedures implemented on board military ships.
CADET-NAV Student Scientific Communications Session
The Romanian Naval Academy "Mircea cel Bătrân" is organizing the 47th edition of the CADET-NAV Student Scientific Communications Session between May 8-10, 2025. The event will feature papers addressing topics such as navigation and transport, engineering and management, military sciences and information, electrical engineering, weapons and communications, mechanical engineering, fundamental sciences and foreign languages. The purpose of organizing the conference is to promote academic values and stimulate the interest of the younger generation in innovation and scientific research, as well as the transfer of knowledge in the maritime and naval fields
International Scientific Conference SEA-CONF
The Romanian Naval Academy "Mircea cel Bătrân" organizes the 11th edition of the International Scientific Conference SEA-CONF between May 15-17, 2025, with the participation of military and civilian scientists and researchers from the country and abroad. During the conference, participants will present scientific papers and exchange ideas, within the sections focused on the following fields of science: navigation and naval transport, electrical engineering, engineering and management, mechanical engineering, military sciences.
International training camp in the field of seafaring
In June 2025, the "Mircea cel Batran" Academy organizes at the Maritime Training Center in Palazu Mare, the internship in the field of seafaring and sailing boat management, with international participation, within the EMILYO program. The activity has been organized annually since 2013, together with the military students of the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy, with students from partner universities also invited to participate. Romanian and foreign cadets will perform specific training sessions in the field of rowing and sailing boat management and will participate in military training sessions and training in the field of seafaring.
Sea training aboard the "Mircea" School Ship
The "Mircea" School Ship will conduct a sea training march with the students of the Naval Academy between April and September 2025, the march will have a historical significance due to the long travel time and its route around the world. Along with the ship's core crew, foreign cadets from partner naval academies will also be invited to participate.
