The project has been focused on the International Naval Semester (INS) implementation among the Naval Academies around the Europe, valuing the STEM competencies together with HASS European culture topics, facilitating the use of digital technologies, innovative and open pedagogies for teaching and learning in MHEI (Military Higher Education Institutions) through a virtual campus platform (VCP) where digital resources have been developed to be available for all beneficiaries in the military network defined under EMILYO framework (European initiative for the exchange of Military Young Officers inspired by Erasmus+).
The project aimed to stimulate the innovative learning and teaching practices by establishing a joint e-learning platform that will serve both as a knowledge transfer and sharing network, but also as a self paced learning and self assessment tool for enrolled students. The learning materials have been jointly developed valuing the STEM active learning and the learner-centered instruction. The harmonized courses identified under INS curriculum have been adapted to the reference framework of the Digital Competence Framework 2.0 in order to develop and use open educational resources, such as SPARC Europe, Open Education networks, and ER World Map.
