Between May 2 and 8, the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy hosted a delegation of Chinese officers from the Naval University of Engineering in Wuhan (China). The visit was part of the cooperation relations between the two institutions promotion and the exchange of good practices in the training of military cadets stimulation. It started with a training program on board the NS "Mircea", in the preparation phase of the training voyage. The Chinese officers thus came into contact with the material training base on board the training ship and were involved in the preliminary training activities of Romanian and international cadets (from Bulgaria, Ukraine, Albania and China).
         In the following days of the NS "Mircea"'s departure in the training voyage, Lieutenant Commander Liu Yi and Captain Zhao Haitao visited the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy, participating in meetings with teachers and students. On this occasion, the Chinese officers were informed about the educational offer, the material base and the research projects of the institution, having access during the organized training sessions, to the laboratories, simulators and all training and research facilities, equipped with modern equipment. The visit of the Chinese partners was an important opportunity to evaluate the educational and research potential of the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy, recertifying the high quality of the Romanian military education in relation with international partners.
